***Warning to kids the Medusa scene could freak them out a bit, but shouldn't be too bad Parents should watch for mild nudity near the beginning of a nursing mother and towards the end as the princess baths before her trip to see the Kraken, but otherwise this film should entertain safely. It has a love story of sorts for the girls and some duels for the fellas all thrown in for a brisk paced movie. We meet the Kraken, Pegasus, oracles, giant scorpions, Medusa and witness Persus rise to one challenge after another thrown at him. Harry Hamlin keeps it grounded as a young niave hero, Burguess Meredith plays the mentor role and we are treated to a calidescope of mythical creatures along the way. The story centers around Persus, son of Zeus and his many challenges rising from jealous Hera and numerous monsters along the way. This film is a real joy to watch pure imaginative escapicism in the styles of the old Sinbad and Hercules movies from the past.
